Sadly it is true. Labels do make conversation easier. Empathy is effort even for the (relatively) open minded.

Indeed. Ironically, many of the institutions set up to fight against some aspect of social oppression tend to recreate such structures within their own organizations. Ti's a sad and far too common occurrence. Did something happen with a specific group that I missed?
